Paralegal – Trusts and Estates
Springfield, MA

Doherty, Wallace, Pillsbury & Murphy, P.C. is looking for a paralegal to support the firm’s trust and estate practice in its Springfield, Massachusetts office.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, a fast learner, and can perform high quality work correctly and efficiently.

Responsibilities include: general administrative support and assistance;  drafting and review of legal documents, including estate planning documents and probate pleadings, assist with estate and trust administration matters (e.g.: prepare and file probate documents, draft correspondence, assist with inventory and account preparation, client and third party communications, preparing and filing estate tax returns); organize and maintain case files, scheduling, and other paralegal duties or special projects as may be assigned. 

The firm will train the right candidate.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of technology, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and Adobe
  • Ability to work with and keep sensitive and personal information confidential
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Bachelor’s, Associates Degree, or Paralegal Certificate highly preferred
