Jeffrey Meehan joined the firm in 1978, after three years as a criminal prosecutor in the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office. Presently, his civil litigation practice encompasses the areas of general liability, including wrongful death, personal injury, motor vehicle accident litigation, premises liability, product liability, liquor liability, professional negligence, insurance coverage interpretation, and commercial litigation. He has tried to a verdict numerous cases involving wrongful death and serious personal injuries.
Jeff is called upon by both national insurers and self insureds for the defense of clients in Western and Central Massachusetts. Formerly a member of the board of editors of the Massachusetts Law Review, Jeff wrote the chapter on expert witness testimony in Massachusetts Evidence: A Courtroom Reference. He is a chapter author in Massachusetts Expert Witnesses and has spoken on a variety of litigation topics at continuing legal education seminars.
Jeff serves as an arbitrator and mediator through the Hampden County Bar Association. He is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
