Rebecca Thibault concentrates her practice on representing and advising businesses and institutions in corporate and transactional matters. She counsels a broad range of clients, including educational institutions, nonprofits, and privately held businesses in various sectors and industries, such as health care, retail, and services. She provides counsel on a variety of corporate matters, from entity formation and corporate governance, to financing, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, environmental, and general contract negotiations.
Rebecca’s work for educational institutions includes advising independent schools, public charter schools, and colleges and universities subject to federal and state law. The matters she advises on range from employment, student discipline, internal and third-party investigations, mandatory reporting, sexual abuse claims, and review, drafting, and negotiation on a variety of contracts.
In law school at Washington University in St. Louis, Rebecca was Managing Editor of Washington University Global Studies Law Review. Prior to law school, Rebecca worked for several years in the retail and pharmaceutical industries. She attended Trinity College in Hartford, where she earned a B.S. in biology. She recently served several terms on the Boards of Girls Inc. of The Valley and Springfield Public Forum. Each December, Rebecca captains DWPM’s team in the Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage.
